Some moments in life feel surreal, and receiving an email from Vogue asking me to be part of not one, but three wedding showcase features was one of them. When I saw their email sitting in my inbox, I had to read it twice to believe it was real. This was Vogue, the British magazine synonymous with style, elegance, and aspiration. For a week, I barely slept—buzzing with excitement over what this milestone meant for me and my work.
This opportunity marked my first major feature, and I wanted to ensure it was nothing short of extraordinary. The task? To showcase three weddings, each as unique as the couples themselves. Here’s how it all came together.
October: Vogue Falls in Love
For the first feature, published in October, I chose an image from Jade and CJ's 2023 wedding at Fasque House. The picture, taken outside the stunning estate, captured the timeless charm of the venue and the love shared between Jade and CJ. This photo has always held a special place in my heart—it’s romantic, elegant, and quintessentially Vogue. Seeing it in print under the headline “Vogue Falls in Love” felt like a dream come true.
November: A Very Vogue Wedding
The second feature, in November’s issue, was titled "A Very Vogue Wedding." For this, I selected a vibrant image from Nusrat and Joe's wedding at Aswanley. What made this wedding stand out was the beautiful blending of their two cultures, and the photograph I chose reflected this perfectly. The bold colour of the vintage car and the couple’s joy radiating through the shot gave it a show-stopping quality. It’s not every day you see such a striking and unique combination, and I knew it would resonate with Vogue’s audience.
December: Under the Mistletoe
Closing out the year was December’s feature, “Under the Mistletoe.” For this, I picked a whimsical image from Brogan and Greg's wedding at St. Ruffles Hotel. The photograph shows them laughing and playing beneath the trees, with the soft winter light filtering through the branches. It’s one of those moments that feels magical—effortlessly capturing the joy of love during the festive season. I couldn’t have imagined a better way to wrap up this incredible series.
Each wedding I chose for these features wasn’t just about aesthetics; they represented stories, emotions, and moments that deserved to be celebrated on a grand scale. To have my work highlighted by Vogue is more than just an achievement—it’s a testament to the love and trust my couples place in me to capture their most important day.
This milestone has inspired me to dream even bigger, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next. To everyone who has supported my work along the way: thank you for believing in me.
Here’s to more moments that leave us pinching ourselves, wondering if it’s all real.
